Several factors enable public institutions to deliver on their legislative and policy mandates. One such factor is the commitment of officials to pursue actions that improve the functionality of the institutions that they work for.

CABRI’s project on Leadership Stories explores the role of current and former public finance officials in mobilising action for change by: drawing attention to the policy challenge; building informal authority; and taking actions to get the work done. Candid insights are shared in the video clips into the challenges they faced when initiating reforms, as well as the approaches taken to overcome them. The series seeks to share inspiring leadership stories that can provide lessons on ways that the more complex aspects of public finance management reforms have been tackled.
