Alilali Nelufule
Alilali is seconded to CABRI from the National Treasury of South Africa. With over a decade experience, she has well-rounded skill set and a broad understanding of public debt management. Having worked within the Debt Issuance and Management as well as Strategy and Risk Management teams in the Asset and Liability Management Division within the National Treasury, she was responsible for drafting government’s annual funding strategies, managing borrowing programmes and actively managing government debt portfolio and strategies to lower government debt service costs.
In addition she was responsible for ensuring that listing requirements with the Johannesburg Stock exchange (JSE), Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE), London stock exchange (LSE), as well as statutory disclosures to the US Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) are adhered to.
She has led various issuance projects in the domestic and international capital markets, including the Republic’s Inaugural Rand denominated Sukuk issued in November 2023.
