The Covid-19 pandemic has required governments across Africa to take unprecedented fiscal policy action in order to protect their populations and economies. While it is too early to tell how the fiscal squeeze will impact on climate change priorities in the long term, this paper aims to provide an early insight into how climate change expenditure across the continent may be affected by the pandemic.
