Become a member of CABRI

In accordance with the International Agreement establishing CABRI, membership is open to all African countries. The agreement sets out three steps to becoming a member of the organisation:

Accession

Countries are invited to accede to the International Agreement. The agreement established CABRI as a legal entity and an international body on 3 December 2010. The country should follow their legal process that allows them to join an international body through accession.

Depositing instruments of accession

Once the internal legal process has been concluded, the country will inform CABRI of its accession by depositing its instrument of accession with the CABRI Secretariat. The instrument of accession should be addressed to:

Neil Cole
Executive Secretary
CABRI Secretariat
Southdowns Ridge Office Park
Cnr Nellmapius and John Vorster Drive
Centurion 0062
Republic of South Africa

Membership

Membership to CABRI becomes effective fifteen (15) days after the country deposits its instrument of accession.

Once membership is effective, the member country will be requested to pay the applicable membership fees in accordance with Article 13 (Membership Fees) of the International Agreement.
