Nearing the end of the year-long International Capability Building Programme (ICBP) on voluntary tax compliance, the 4th Cohort made up of country-teams Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia are holding their second week-long regional workshop.
The workshop follows the Cohort’s visit to the Swedish Tax Agency (STA) in Stockholm, Sweden this past June.
To track reform progress and further engage in peer-learning and exchange, the teams are guided by their STA coaches to enhance their theories and research on factors that influence voluntary compliance. Using the Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) approach, throughout the course CABRI and STA offer thorough facilitation which allows participants to develop the necessary capabilities to solve the problems that hinder voluntary tax compliance.
Next on the ICBP’s calendar, each coach will visit their respective country-teams to ensure goals and objectives are reached.
The ICBP is hosted by the Swedish Tax Agency in collaboration with CABRI and is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
