The 4th edition of the International Capability Building Programme (ICBP) on Voluntary Tax Compliance is well underway with framing workshops being held in participating countries: Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia, until 26 January.

The framing workshop is the next step after the 5-week online course where country-teams really get the opportunity with the help of their coaches from the Swedish Tax Agency to : (i) frame and construct the problem; (ii) identify the main causes and sub-causes of the problem; (iii) agree on the immediate actions to be taken; and (iv) designate specific responsibilities to team members.

The ICBP consists of four rounds. The country-teams are comprised of officials from tax agencies and Ministries of Finance and each country-team is assigned a coach from the Swedish Tax Agency throughout the duration of the course.

The ICBP is hosted by the Swedish Tax Agency in collaboration with CABRI and is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
