On February 9 and 10, the "Transparency Champions", Team Nigeria from CABRI’s Building Public Finance Capabilities (BPFC) Programme 2020 led a two-day training programme aimed at improving the quality of budget monitoring and evaluation reporting; and strengthening professional accounting capacity. Held with our support in collaboration with the Budget Office of the Federation - Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning in Abuja, the first day of the pilot training programme was dedicated to permanent secretaries and CEOs and Day 2 to directors and cadres.

Team Nigeria on the 2020 BPFC programme has identified capacity building for officers of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) involved in budget monitoring and evaluation as an entry point to addressing the problem of poor budget execution reporting.
