Awa Touray
Awa Touray has over eight years of professional experience in public service and international development. She has previously served in the Gambian Ministry of Finance as Assistant Secretary and Fiscal Officer. At CABRI from 2017 to 2020, she leveraged her public finance expertise to contribute to policy dialogues, knowledge products and to support country teams (Liberia, Rwanda, South Africa) undergo reform processes using the problem driven iterative adaptation (PDIA) approach. As a public policy specialist, she has expertise and interest in various policy areas including health and education. Currently, she is an international consultant and coaches a country team as part of CABRI’s Building Public Finance Capabilities Programme.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and a Master’s in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore.
